Ham Sauce

Gerstung Ham Sauce

This recipe has been passed down through the Gerstung family and we just can't have ham without it.

1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. dry mustard

Combine these two ingredients in a sauce pan and then add:

1/2 cup vinegar
1 slightly beaten egg

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until of custard consistency . Add 1 tbsp. butter, salt and pepper.
